Fleet Manager - Flat Decks
Calton Mhondiwa
In 2015, Calton joined the SLZ and to date, has vast experience in both Rail and Road Operations goods and commodities movement. During the years, Calton got acquainted with vast experience of the SADC region, dealing with loading, agents, regional legislations and offloading terminals too. He had worked with vast sub-contractors too, making contracts and sealing deals with SHEQ emphasis for the success of SLZ.

Driver Trainer
Climbon Dzvete
It has been an amazing journey for Climbon, since the 1990s, when he was attached to BP as Aircraft Refuelling Champion at Harare International Airport, to Driver Trainer at Strauss Logistics Zimbabwe since 2016. His achievements include: BP Global Driving Championships Finalists Qualification 2007 (Las Vegas, Nevada United States of America), BP Global Driving Championships Regionals Qualifications 2007 (UAE Dubai), Global Driving Championships Africa Qualifications 2007 (Johannesburg, South Africa), Global Driving Championships Zimbabwe Qualification 2007 (Harare Zimbabwe), Global Driving Championships Finalists 2005 (Cape Town, South Africa), and Global Driving Championships Africa Qualifications 2005 (Johannesburg, South Africa). He has seen it all, both theory and practice, he adds incredible value to our establishment.

Farayi Vudzijena
Farayi joined Strauss Logistics in August 2014 as Management Accountant. She is a qualified accountant and has over 15 years’ experience in accounting. She has worked in the Transport, Petroleum and Financial sectors.

Fleet and Admin Manager
Godfrey Dondo
Godfrey has been in this industry for more than 14years .After getting accreditation as diesel plant fitter Class1, and motor mechanics Class 1, he has never looked back. His knowledge, skills and ability in the field of automotive engineering is phenomenal, he has experience with several engine types including, but not limited to: Cummins, ISX, Detroit, CAT, Columbia, Faw, Shackman, DAF, Volvo, MAN and Scania.

Business Analyst
John McCree
John brings a wealth of experience to the business earned over 35years, in various industries in Zimbabwe and abroad. He has been with Strauss since 2012, when the size was 21 trucks, operating out of the Zuva Workshops on Birmingham road. He has a vast knowledge across the industry and, with his skills as an accountant, he provides vital analytical, procurement and commercial strengths to Strauss. John has a simple philosophy to business… “Treat it as if it was your business, would you make the same decision?”

Operations Manager
Mike Chakonza
Having joined Strauss in February 2010, Mike is one of our longest-serving colleagues. He oversees all operational affairs in the Commercial Fuel Sales Division and has vast experience in the importation and logistical movement of petroleum products. One of his most important roles is that of our principal liaison with petroleum industry regulatory authorities.

Fleet Manager - Specialties
Tapiwa Tukuta
Tapiwa joined SLZ in 2012 as Rail operation assistant. In 2019 when Rail and Road operation merged, he doubled as a driver controller and rail assistant. He has a vast knowledge in both rail and road operations. Tapiwa has over 18 years of experience in transport industry.

Fleet Manager - Fuels
Tendayi Mkombodzi
Tendayi joined Strauss in 2022, concentrating on the subcontracting division. With 8 years of experience in road transport operations, he has developed significant expertise in the fuel transport market and client engagement. He now leads the fuels and subcontracting division, where his skills will be instrumental in driving strategic initiatives and strengthening client relationships within our organization.

Operations Manager - Rail
Calvin Chipunza
Calvin joined SLZ in 2011 and pioneered the Rail Logistics Division under the Strauss banner. He developed a strong rail division through strategic partnership with Rail Authorities within the Region, with special mention to a Private Public Partnership (PPP) with the National Railways of Zimbabwe. This resulted in the refurbishment of 160 rail fuel tankcars between years 2012 to 2018. He has proven leadership skills, developing and motivating teams to achieve set objectives.

Chief Financial Officer - Commercial Fuel Sales
Diana Green
Di joined Strauss Zimbabwe in July 2011 as Chief Financial Officer for the fuel trading division. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant and trained at KPMG. Di has over 25 years of experience in commerce and has worked in the corporate freight, transport, and banking industries.

SHEQ Manager
Gilbert Musariri
Gilbert is an experienced SHEQ practitioner with a demonstrated history of working in the logistics and manufacturing industries. A strong and focused professional who holds a Master of Science degree in Safety, Health and Environmental Management. He is committed to the highest standards of safety, health, environment, and quality, and is an expert at ensuring that risk is eliminated or minimized in the workplace. He has helped Strauss Logistics Zimbabwe in the development and implementation of international standards.

Chief Financial Officer
Iona Fallon
Iona is a qualified Chartered Accountant (Zimbabwe). She has spent over 20 years in the audit and accounting professions and was previously Deputy Managing Partner of KPMG Zimbabwe. She has held finance director and Chief Financial Officer positions both locally and internationally in the aviation, investment banking, petroleum, and transport industries.

Chief Operating Officer
Kuno Mawire
Kuno joined SLZ in May 2025, bringing with him two decades of experience in the Transport Industry. He has a strong track record in Senior Management Roles and has consistently delivered results in complex operational environments. In addition to his professional background, Kuno holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and is a qualified Rugby Coach—skills that enhance his leadership style and contribute to effective team building and strategic thinking.

Nyasha Manjeese
With over 20 years experience in Supply Chain Management, both at home and abroad, and as a member of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), Nyasha brings valuable knowledge and skill set to the Strauss table.

HR Manager
Tavonga Machigere
We are proud to have Tavonga as our human resources specialist, advisor, and strategist with over 10 years of experience. Tavonga joined Strauss in February 2014 to create and head the human resources function from scratch. He is a seasoned, proactive, and dynamic human resources expert with several years of progressive human capital responsibilities including but not limited to human capital management, human resources governance and business partnering, business leadership, strategic planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, innovation, and reporting. Highly skilled in championing change, project management, systems thinking, ISO standards development, implementation, and internal auditing.

IT Manager
Trenna Lunga
Trenna ensures that Strauss is abreast with the technologies required in the industry and globally. She has provided ERP consultancy in the SADC Region, Kenya and Tanzania for more than a decade. With her experience, she has shifted Strauss towards a paperless environment; through implementation of SAP Business One Solution and supporting mobile applications. She is committed to providing adequate and up-to-date ICT resources, user training and support for the company to surpass its objectives.
